Participation in the outpatient program for mental health is determined during the initial clinical and medical assessments. The mental health intensive outpatient program we offer is a non-residential program. Clients are in a structured treatment schedule usually consisting of group therapy 3 days a week for 3 hours during the day or evening. The Counseling Centers’ Mental Health IOP, led by licensed therapists, includes psychotherapy through weekly individual and group counseling that provides awareness and education about mental health disorders and necessary treatment. Programs are explicitly tailored to the client’s needs and circumstances.
The Mental Health Outpatient Program also involves family therapy to provide families with education, understanding, and support the client will need from loved ones; it may include medication management and information that will lead to a better sense of self for a successful recovery.
